Fixed the main reason a phone could not connect: Windows silently blocking TapCam on your network.
Installing TapCam now sets up the Windows Firewall permission for you, so pairing works from the very first launch.
If Windows is blocking TapCam anyway, the app now says so on the pairing screen and repairs it in one click.

Getting started

Run the installer and open TapCam. It shows a QR code on your Wi-Fi network.

Install the TapCam app on your phone, then scan the code to pair. Direct, no cloud.

Pick "TapCam" as the camera in Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS or any app.

First launch

TapCam is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a caution the first time you run the installer. It is safe to continue. Here is the exact sequence.

1Click "More info" on the blue dialog.

2Then click "Run anyway".

3If Windows asks to allow changes, click "Yes".

This only concerns the direct download. The Microsoft Store version is signed by Microsoft and shows no warning.

Requirements

The phone app is a separate free download from the App Store and Google Play.
